This hand built pot depicts a pleasant person with a parrot on his shoulder. Various stamps about his body indicate a leaning towards piracy. It is made from a buff colored earthenware clay and "antiqued" with a dark clay slip. There are applied sea shell sprigs. The interior and top rim are glazed with a clear ochre glaze.
