The fish, rider and floral sgraffito pattern is based on Pennsylvania German Fraktur art from the 18th Century; with inspiration from Johan Adam Eyer’s animals and Friederich Krebs’ florals. The inscription reads “Welcome Yule”. This rimless plate is hump molded in a traditional red clay body with an iron oxide colored glaze. It has a coggled rim, a traditional unglazed back and copper oxide green glaze accents.
