This plate is part of the new "Forest of Tulips" series. The deer, squirrel, and floral pattern is executed in sgraffito in a traditional red clay body. It is based on Pennsylvannia German Fraktur art from the 18th Century; with special thanks to Johan Adam Eyer for his deer and Friederich Krebs for his florals. The glaze is a honey yellow with copper oxide green accents. This rimless plate is hump molded. It has a coggled rim and a traditional unglazed back.
