#T07007 Go for half a Joe Sgraffito Plate
This design is loosley based on a sgraffito plate made by the Pennsyvania potter David Spinner. The inscription refers to a bet on the depicted horse race of a gold coin, the Portuguese "Johannes". I've signed my name where David Spinner signed his on the original. This plate is hump molded with a traditional unglazed back. There is a finger impressed pattern on outer rim.
