NEW PUBLICATION
One of my plates is included in the new publication “500 Plates & Chargers - Innovative Expressions of Function & Style” from Lark Books, now at book stores. Look for my "whale with a marbled border" plate on page 310.

I was pleased to be invited to exhibit in the show “Gifts from the Fire”: Contemporary Ceramic Art” at the Cahoon Museum of American Art, Cotuit MA, April 15 - May 25, 2008. This exhibit explored the work of nine contemporary Cape potters. I had six large chargers on display representing my traditional slipware and my more contemporary sgraffito designs. Later this year I will be exhibiting in “Twenty Five for Twenty Five: Artists Salute the Cahoon Museum of American Art” - November 10 through December 30. In honor of the museum’s twenty-fifth anniversary, twenty-five prominent Cape and regional artists come together to celebrate this event with the museum. Each artist will exhibit two works, one of which will be a new acquisition for the museum’s permanent collection.

Concurrent to the Cahoon Museum show, I had a small one - man show at the Centerville Historical Society, Centerville MA, May 1 - June 21, 2008. This exhibit featured 14 of my traditional pieces; comparing them to 2 pieces of early slip trailed wares in their collection.
I am currently exhibiting in “Clay: Works by Cape Cod Potters” at the Cape Cod Museum of Fine Art, Dennis MA, February 28 - April 12, 2009. This exhibition is a juried show of the finest work from the Cape Cod Potter's Association.12 of my works were selected for this survey icluding large chargers, covered jars and greenmen.
From June 19 - October 13, 2009, I will be exhibiting six pieces of work at the Wods Hole Hole Historical Collection & Museum. This will be part of a group exhibition of potters in the Woods Hole area, which Cape Cod Life magazine described as a “potter’s paradise”.
Since late Fall 2007, I have started exhibiting my pottery at select exhibitions on the East Coast. My first was a successful outing at the Celebration of American Craftsmanship in Wilton CT. I enjoyed showing at this venue in 2008 also.
I was honored to be included in the 26th Annual Smithsonian Craft Show last Spring. It is the nation’s most prestigious juried exhibition and sale of contemporary American crafts. One hundred and twenty master artists and emerging talents from across the country offer their latest one-of-a-kind and limited-edition work in basketry, ceramics, decorative fiber, furniture, glass, jewelry, leather, metal, mixed media, paper, wearable art, and wood. I was thrilled with the response to my traditionally inspired work in this very contemporary environment. I was fortunate enough to be asked back this year for the 27th Annual Smithsonian Craft Show -”Telling America's Story through the Art of Craft”. I look forward to seeing those of you who can visit this great show in Washington D.C. April 23 -26, 2009.

Last Summer I was invited to participate in the 15th Annual Nantucket Folk Art & Artisan Show. It was a pleasure for me to visit Nantucket again. Even with the 3 hour ferry ride it was a show close to home. I’ll be back again for 16th Annual version of this super traditional craft show scheduled for July 9 - 11, 2009.
Even closer to home, I also showed at the Society of Cape Cod Craftsmen Show on August 12, 13, & 14, 2008. This is the premiere show of crafts on Cape Cod in a beautiful setting, by the ocean, in Brewster MA.
Last but certainly not least, I was invited to exhibit at the Designer Craftsman Show of Philadelphia on January 16, 17 & 18, 2009. This show is simply “the best of the best” traditional craft artists. It was a wonderful show and I look forward to returning next year with great anticipation. If you would like an invitation to the Designer Craftsman Show please contact me.
Last year made the 15th year I have been continuously included in the Early American Life Directory of Traditional American Crafts in the pottery category. I have begun making some holiday items and last year I was included in the Directory in their Holiday category. There was a photograph of one of my holiday plates on page 62 of the Christmas 2008 issue. The judging for this this year’s selections for this elite group is underway.
