NEW PUBLICATION

One of my plates is included in the new publication “500 Plates & Chargers - Innovative Expressions of Function & Style” from Lark Books, now at book stores. Look for my "whale with a marbled border" plate on page 310.

I have been invited to participate in the Cahoon Museum of American Art's exhibition "Twenty Five for Twenty Five: Artists Salute the Cahoon Museum of American Art" November 10 - Devember 30.

In honor of the museum’s twenty-fifth anniversary, twenty-five prominent Cape and regional artists will come together to celebrate this anniversary. It will include a variety of media encompassing painting, photography, and ceramics. Each artist will exhibit two works, one of which will be donated as a new acquisition for the museum’s permanent collection. The festive exhibition premiere will feature a champagne toast and birthday cake in the shape of the museum.

This year makes the 16th continous year I have been selected for the Early American Life Directory of American Crafts. A nice photo of one of my covered jars was featured on page 53 of the August 2009 issue. I was also included in the Holiday Directory and had one of my Belsnickels was selected for photography. You can see it on page 50 of the Christmas 2009 issue. Each year I make a few Belsnickels. This years batch should be available in November. Contact me if you are intersted in one of these fellows.
Once again the folks in Nantucket put on a wonderful show in 2009. I won the "Best Booth" award this year and look forward to returning to this great show next summer. I'll post the dates when they are available.
This will be my first time exhibiting at a Paradise City show. They have been consistantly ranked as the number one craft show in the United States by American Style magazine. The show will be presented in the Royal Plaza Trade Center in Marlborough, Massachusetts on November 20, 21, & 22, 2009. I'll be pleased to meet you there in Booth #247. Check out their website and be sure to see their small article on me as one of the "Show Stoppers" on page 8 of their on-line show guide.
I thoroughlly enjoyed the Designer-craftsman show last year and will be pleased to return to this great venue in 2010. It will take place on January 29. 30, & 31 at the Valley Forge Convention Center in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. This is a very highly regarded show among traditional craftspeople. Come see "the best of the best".
